Caitlyn Wyckoff

Caitlyn Wyckoff is an Athletic Trainer employed by UCHealth and provides full time Athletic Training coverage for Manitou Springs High School. This is her first year at MSHS, however, Caitlyn has been a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) since 2012 at all levels from high school to the Paralympics. She is also the current Athletic Training Resident for the USA Paralympic Goalball teams at the USOPTC in Colorado Springs, CO. Caitlyn is happily married, has 4 dogs and enjoys reading, being outdoors, bike riding and hiking. She was born and raised in the greater Seattle area, went to undergraduate school at William Penn University in Iowa, and graduate school at California Baptist University in Southern California. She has worked at CSU Dominguez Hills and Loyola Marymount University as a professor and Athletic Trainer since 2014.

About UCHealth Athletic Training
In collaboration with UCHealth, Manitou Springs High School, is committed to offering quality medical services to current student athletes in good standing. We provided access to Certified Athletic Trainer(s) for the medical needs of MSHS Athletics. The Athletic Trainer(s) are on-site for all home practices, games and events and assist participants with sports-related injuries to include evaluation, pre-practice/event preparation, concussion management, injury identification, taping, manual therapy, and/or injury rehabilitation.
The MSHS Athletic Training Clinic is in room 46 in-between the commons area and boy’s locker room. Students are encouraged to make appointments for all injury consultations via Microsoft bookings which can be found by clicking the button below. All electronic medical records will be housed in EPIC within the UCHealth system. This
access streamlines patient care with any physician within the UCHealth network.
Athletic Training Provides the Following Services:
- Clinical evaluation and diagnosis of sport related musculoskeletal injuries
- Management and treatment of acute injuries
- Immediate and emergency care
- Implementation of corrective exercise/rehab programs
- Concussion Management
- Injury/illness prevention and wellness protection
- Wound care management
- Referral to outside healthcare provider when necessary and indicated
- Baseline testing can be performed on any flat surface, in person or remotely. Devices used for testing must be connected to the internet to perform the baseline test.
- Sideline Evaluations- Sway screenings can be performed in under 5 minutes on the sideline during the game. With immediate results, you can quickly compare the athlete’s current scores to their baseline as well as normative data based on the athlete’s age and sex.
- Return to Play- Unlimited tests per athlete allows you to provide the best care for your athletes, testing cognition, balance, and gathering symptoms as often as you’d like.
