Brandon DeMatto
Athletic/Activities Director
Brandon has served Manitou Springs School District 14 with pride and purpose for the past 13 years—beginning as an 8th grade science teacher at Manitou Springs Middle School before spending the last nine years as a PE/Health teacher at the high school. Over that time, his influence has extended far beyond the classroom. As a coach, Brandon has been a cornerstone of Mustang Athletics. He served as Head Middle School Football Coach for four years and as a Varsity Assistant Football Coach for nine—seven of those as Offensive Coordinator, culminating in a State Championship in 2021. On the baseball diamond, he led the JV program for three years, helped guide the varsity team to the State Championship game in 2016 as an assistant, and served as Head Baseball Coach from 2018 to 2025—earning league titles, a state tournament berth, and the winningest season in program history. Brandon’s leadership is defined by his philosophy of “Serving the M”—a commitment to honoring the past, elevating the present, and building for the future. His focus on connection, competition, and character has already helped shape a culture of excellence at MSHS, and his new role will only deepen that impact. Outside of school, Brandon is a devoted husband to Beth and proud father to Turner (8) and Collins (3). The DeMatto family is a meaningful part of the Manitou community, and we are excited to see them continue their journey with us.
